Advent Scarf Day 9

According to Kristin, the creator of this wonderful KAl, today’s pattern is the most difficult of the scarf. While looking at the chart it doesn’t seem that bad, a few yarn overs, a decrease here and there, and the make 3 from 1. Simple, so long as you know what that means it shouldn’t be a problem. But then you look at it a little more closely and realize that it’s a sneaky chart. It’s not really that predictable. There will be no just blindly knitting the stitches as they appear on the wrong side. Nope, you’ll have to pay very close attention to the wrong side rows just in case an unexpected purl is thrown in there (they are). Luckily there are a few straight knit or purl rows to speed the process along.

After a few hours, here’s what I came up with.

It almost reminds me of Christmas tree balls surrounded by lace.
Or I could just have Christmas on the brain.

As always, if you’re interested in following along, the pattern is here. A new pattern is uploaded every day.
