A Cozy Pair for a Rainy Day

It’s been a while (two weeks I’ve been informed) since I’ve shared any knitting adventures. Part of the absence was due to my hectic schedule. I’m happy to say, that I’m officially finished my Master’s degree. Just waiting on marks to confirm that I am indeed a Master of Information! (Not that I have any worries, but it seems in poor taste to be flaunting around a title that hasn’t quite been confirmed yet).

In the mean time it seems as though I’m busier than ever with short term job that I’m doing. No complaints, but that, coupled with the beautiful biking weather, has meant that knitting has taken a hit. However, I did manage to finish my ZigZag socks.

So cozy
Despite the fact they are definitely a winter sock (stranded with alpaca = warm and cozy), I LOVE them. I wish I had more. I wish I had a pair in every colour I can think. That’s how much I love them. They were a treat to knit. I never got the dreaded “are these never going to end” feeling. In truth I’m a little sad that I’m finished knitting them they were that fun!

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Alpaca Sox yarn. It split very easily, and my affinity for very pointy needles wasn’t a very good combination. Other than that I couldn’t be happier!

In other knitting news, I’ve finally cast on the second sleeve of my Aidez sweater. It’s been neglected for far too long, but I’m committed to finishing it up. The 3″ ribbed cuff was really holding me back, but now that I’ve finished it, should be smooth sailing from here on out!
